About Dr. Eva Maria Almonte
My Background
Dr. Eva Maria Almonte is a distinguished educator with more than twenty-five years of experience in the field of education. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to serving underprivileged communities, particularly low-income families in the Bronx and Manhattan. Dr. Almonte has held a variety of leadership and instructional positions, including first- and second-grade teacher (in both general education and inclusion settings), counselor, director, and principal within the New York City Departments of Education and Health.
In addition to her extensive experience in education, Dr. Almonte is the founder of several heritage clubs across the United States that promote cultural awareness and community engagement. She currently serves as a Transformational Coach, focusing on strengthening family dynamics and fostering personal and professional growth. Furthermore, she provides business coaching and professional development training to individuals and organizations.
Dr. Almonte holds an impressive array of academic and professional credentials, including a Bachelor of Science in Education and Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Theology, and a Master’s degree in Childhood Education, Reading, and Psychology. She is a licensed Nutrition Coach, an internationally certified Chaplain, and a registered Marriage Officiant in the City of New York. She also earned a Doctorate in Counseling and Ministry.
Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Dr. Almonte is the founder and director of an international children’s organization dedicated to supporting children in developing nations. Through this initiative, she continues to advance her lifelong mission of empowering youth and fostering equitable access to education and well-being worldwide.

About the Book
We are Unique gives children the awareness that they are unique, different, but loved the same in God's eyes no matter their physical condition.
